New Delhi: HCLTech has launched a Physical AI Innovation Lab in Santa Clara, California, in collaboration with NVIDIA. The facility is designed to help enterprises test and scale physical AI, robotics and autonomous systems as organisations increasingly explore automation for operational efficiency.
The lab is part of HCLTech’s global AI Lab network and brings together NVIDIA’s platforms — including Omniverse, Metropolis, Isaac Sim, Jetson and Holoscan with HCLTech’s own solutions such as VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX and SmartTwin. The companies aim to use this setup to help enterprises simulate and validate autonomous systems before deploying them in real environments, an area where many face technical and integration hurdles.
NVIDIA’s VP of Robotics and Edge AI, Deepu Talla, said that enterprises often struggle to translate digital simulations into large-scale physical deployments, and the new facility is intended to offer a controlled space to address those gaps. HCLTech’s CTO and Head of Ecosystems, Vijay Guntur, said the collaboration supports the company’s work in AI engineering and robotics across sectors that are adopting automation.
HCLTech noted that it is already working on physical AI projects with several G2000 clients, including a port operator, a global technology company and a mining firm in Europe. These engagements typically involve combining robotics, simulation and digital twins to improve safety and operational resilience.
The company employs more than 226,600 people and reported $14.2 billion in revenue for the 12 months ending September 2025.
