Hyderabad: The Amara Raja Group has appointed Dr. Shilpa Kabra Maheshwari as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer.
She succeeds Jaikrishna B, who will retire after more than 20 years of leading the group’s HR function.
Dr. Maheshwari brings close to three decades of experience in human resources, with leadership roles across manufacturing, automotive, energy, technology, hospitality, financial services, and shared services. Her appointment comes as Amara Raja continues to expand into new businesses and geographies.
Before joining Amara Raja, Dr. Maheshwari was associated with Siemens. She served as Executive Vice President and Country Head for People and Organisation, and also led the company’s diversity and inclusion agenda. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening leadership capability and building a future-ready workforce.
In her new role, Dr. Maheshwari will lead the group’s HR strategy across all businesses. She will focus on talent development, culture building, and aligning people initiatives with the group’s long-term growth plans. The company said she will also help deepen its values-led and employee-centric approach.
Dr. Maheshwari holds an honours degree in Economics, an MBA, and a PhD in Leadership Development. She is an author, a certified coach, and a trainer with a strong interest in leadership development.
