Elastic Names Atul Ahuja To Lead India Operations

New Delhi, 16 Apr, (CXO Media): Elastic has appointed Atul Ahuja as Area Vice President and General Manager for India, placing him in charge of the company’s regional strategy and business growth at a time when enterprises are expanding the use of AI into operational environments.

Ahuja will oversee Elastic’s India operations, including customer engagement and market expansion, with a focus on supporting organisations that are integrating AI applications with enterprise data systems. The appointment comes as companies increasingly shift from pilot-stage generative AI projects to production-scale deployments that require reliable data integration across IT environments.

The role is expected to centre on enabling enterprises to connect AI tools with internal data sources such as logs, documents, and applications. This approach reflects a broader trend among technology providers to support real-time data access and reduce the need for large-scale data transfers while building AI-driven systems.

He brings more than three decades of experience in enterprise technology and market development across India and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Elastic, he worked as a strategic advisor to technology firms, focusing on scaling go-to-market operations in areas including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

The leadership appointment signals Elastic’s continued focus on India as a growth market for enterprise technology adoption, particularly in data infrastructure and AI-driven analytics. India-based enterprises across sectors are expanding investments in data platforms and automation tools, increasing demand for technologies that support large-scale data processing and application deployment.

With this appointment, Elastic is positioning its India operations to align with growing enterprise demand for systems that support AI applications built on enterprise-owned data rather than standalone models.
