In his new role, Gupta will continue to lead Flipkart Minutes and oversee efforts to scale operations and expand the service across more categories and locations. Quick commerce has become a key battleground for large e-commerce firms as they compete with specialised instant delivery platforms and strengthen their last-mile capabilities.
He has been with Flipkart for more than ten years and has handled leadership roles across several major business segments, including smartphones, grocery, home appliances, and fashion. His experience across high-volume consumer categories is expected to support the company’s push into faster delivery formats.
Before joining Flipkart, he worked with Microsoft, Nokia, and Tata Motors, where he held roles in sales, marketing, and category management. The leadership change reflects Flipkart’s continued reliance on internal executives to lead newer business lines as the company expands its quick commerce operations.
