New Delhi, Apr 27 (New Delhi): NatWest Group has signed a partnership with IIT Delhi to expand research collaboration in emerging technologies.
NatWest Group India has entered into a collaboration with the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi to work on joint research and innovation programmes. The partnership will focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, fintech, and cybersecurity to translate academic research into solutions that can be applied to business operations.
The collaboration will involve researchers, students, and startups associated with IIT Delhi, with an emphasis on testing pilot projects and industry-led research. FITT, which manages technology transfer and industry partnerships at IIT Delhi, will support joint initiatives designed to connect academic research with practical implementation across banking and digital technology functions.
NatWest Group said the partnership aligns with its broader technology expansion in India, where it continues to invest in talent and research capabilities. The company has increased its presence in the country in recent years, including opening a new office in Bengaluru last year to support its technology and operations functions.
Officials from both organisations stated that the collaboration will support skill development and research engagement between academic institutions and financial services companies, while providing opportunities for students and professionals to work on real-world technology challenges.
