Accenture Deploys Microsoft Copilot To 7 Lakh Employees, Signals Shift in Enterprise AI Use

New Delhi, May 4, (CXO Media): Accenture has rolled out Microsoft Copilot to nearly 743,000 employees. The move marks one of the largest enterprise deployments of generative AI tools so far and reflects a growing push to integrate AI into daily work processes.

Enterprise AI Adoption Gains Pace
The rollout builds on Accenture’s earlier plan to expand Copilot access across its workforce. With this scale, the deployment becomes a major enterprise win for Microsoft, which has been positioning Copilot within its Microsoft 365 suite to drive workplace adoption. The tool is priced at $30 per user per month, and large contracts like this are expected to support revenue growth.

Productivity And Workflow Impact
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet said internal feedback shows faster completion of routine tasks. In a survey of about 200,000 employees, 97% reported improved speed, while 53% noted measurable productivity gains. The company said AI is helping reduce time spent on repetitive work and allowing employees to focus on higher-value tasks.

Microsoft Sees Rising Enterprise Usage
Satya Nadella said enterprise adoption of Copilot is increasing, with a growing number of organisations deploying it at scale. He added that usage patterns are starting to resemble core workplace tools like email, indicating deeper integration into daily operations.

How Copilot Is Being Used
Copilot works across applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, using organisational data such as emails and documents to generate context-aware responses. Microsoft has also expanded features over the past year, including automation tools and multi-model support. The Accenture deployment highlights how AI tools are moving beyond pilot phases into widespread enterprise use. As more companies adopt similar systems, AI assistants are becoming a standard layer within workplace software.
