Samsung Plans Crease-Free Galaxy Z Flip 8, July Launch Event Likely

New Delhi, May 4(CXO Media): Samsung is expected to bring design-focused upgrades with its upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8, as fresh leaks point to a refined foldable display ahead of a possible July launch. New details from Korean sources indicate that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may feature a nearly crease-free display, a change driven by an updated hinge design. The improvement targets one of the most noticeable drawbacks in foldable smartphones. The device is also expected to be slightly thinner when folded and lighter, with reports suggesting a weight close to 180g.

The hardware changes appear to be limited to design. The phone is likely to run on the Exynos 2600 chipset, continuing Samsung’s push toward in-house processors in its foldable lineup. Battery capacity may remain at 4,300mAh with 25W charging, indicating no major shift in power performance.
Camera specifications are also expected to stay consistent, including a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP front camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is likely to debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, reportedly scheduled for July 22 in London. The company has not officially confirmed the timeline.
Current leaks suggest Samsung is prioritising durability and display refinement over major hardware changes, as competition in the foldable smartphone segment continues to grow.
