New Delhi, May 21(CXO Media): Reliance Retail has appointed Sandeep Karwa as Chief Executive Officer of AJIO, its online fashion and lifestyle platform.
He returns to India’s retail and digital commerce sector after serving as Country Head at Coupang Taiwan, where he handled business operations, product strategy, and supply chain functions. His appointment comes as AJIO looks to strengthen its position in the online fashion segment, where consumer acquisition, technology-led shopping experiences, and seller expansion remain key focus areas.
Before joining Coupang, he spent over a decade at Flipkart in multiple leadership roles. He led the company’s fashion and softlines business and later worked on Flipkart’s advertising platform, where he was involved in scaling ad solutions using AI and data-led systems. He also worked on early-stage business verticals including Flipkart Quick and wholesale operations.
He started his career in technology and later moved into retail leadership, building experience across smartphones, marketplace operations, and hyperlocal commerce. His appointment signals Reliance Retail’s continued focus on strengthening AJIO’s digital capabilities and expanding its presence in India’s growing online fashion market.
