Bengaluru: Ather Energy Limited, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Anjani Kumar as its Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). In this role, Anjani will be responsible for driving the company’s digital strategy and strengthening its technology framework across key areas, including product development, manufacturing, and customer experience.
With over 24 years of experience in digital transformation and IT innovation, Anjani brings a wealth of cross-sector expertise spanning automotive, technology, logistics, pharmaceuticals, and BFSI. He has held senior leadership roles at global giants such as IBM, Nissan, Cognizant, Strides Pharma, and Tata AIG.
At Ather, Anjani will lead a wide portfolio of digital and IT functions. His responsibilities will include overseeing WebTech, IT & Security, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), Business Intelligence, and Digital Engineering. He will also focus on enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure and driving data-centric decision-making across the organization.
Anjani holds a Post Graduate degree in Marketing & Management from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University (USA), and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Rourkela.
