Pune: Ajay Kapur has been appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suzlon, marking a new leadership phase for the renewable energy company.
Kapur brings more than 36 years of experience across infrastructure, construction, power, and heavy industries, with a track record of leading listed companies in senior executive roles.
Kapur previously served as managing director of Ambuja Cements, part of the Adani Group. His experience spans large-scale operations and complex industrial businesses.
At Suzlon, Kapur will report to the chairman and managing director of the company, Vinod Tanti.
Commenting on his appointment, Kapur said the company’s ambition to contribute at scale to the global energy transition presents a defining opportunity. He added that the focus will remain on sustainable growth, operational discipline, and creating long-term value for stakeholders.
