Daikin to Invest Rs 1,000 Cr in R&D Centre in Haryana

Manesar, Apr 22 (CXOMedia): Daikin is set to invest around Rs. 1,000 crore to establish a major research and development (R&D) centre in Manesar.

This marks a significant boost to the state’s industrial and innovation landscape.

The proposed facility will be the largest and first-of-its-kind R&D centre for the company in India. It is expected to drive technological innovation in the air-conditioning sector while strengthening Haryana’s position as a key industrial hub.

According to the state government, the investment reflects growing confidence among Japanese companies in Haryana’s business-friendly policies and industrial ecosystem. Officials said the move is likely to attract more foreign investments and create employment opportunities for local youth.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted that the government is focused on improving “Ease of Doing Business” and reducing the “Cost of Doing Business.” He noted that several reforms have been introduced to make investment processes smoother and more efficient.

One of the key initiatives is the implementation of a single-window clearance system, which allows investors to obtain all required approvals and no-objection certificates in one place. This has helped simplify procedures and speed up project execution.

Senior officials, including Rajesh Khullar, Arun Gupta, and Yash Garg, along with Daikin India Chairman and Managing Director Kanwal Jeet Jawa, were present during the discussions. The project signals stronger India-Japan industrial cooperation and future growth prospects.
