HDFC Life Board Reappoints Vibha Padalkar as CEO for Five More Years

New Delhi, Apr 22, (CXO Media): Vibha Padalkar will continue to lead HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited after the company’s board approved her reappointment as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for another five-year term.
Padalkar has been serving as MD and CEO since 2018. Her continuation comes at a time when life insurers are focusing on improving profitability, expanding distribution networks, and adapting to changing customer demand in India’s insurance market. The move signals leadership continuity at one of the country’s major private life insurers as competition intensifies across the sector.

Before taking charge as CEO, Padalkar worked as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer at HDFC Life for more than ten years. In that role, she handled financial planning, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance functions during a period of expansion for the company.
Earlier in her career, she held senior finance roles at WNS Global Services and Colgate-Palmolive, where she gained experience in financial management and global operations. Her background in finance and governance has remained central to her leadership responsibilities at HDFC Life.
The reappointment reflects the company’s decision to retain existing leadership as it navigates regulatory changes and evolving market dynamics within India’s life insurance segment.
