Bengaluru: Airbus has appointed Annapurna Vishwanathan as the Vice President and Head of IM & Digital for India and South Asia. With a strong background in digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise technology, she will spearhead Airbus’ digital initiatives across the region.
Annapurna joins Airbus after an illustrious career spanning over 15 years across multiple industries, including manufacturing, logistics, commercial, and sales functions. Before joining Airbus, she was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Cummins India, where she was responsible for formulating and implementing IT strategies that drove business growth.
Before her tenure at Cummins, Annapurna served as the Head of Digital at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd., where she played a pivotal role in defining and executing the company’s digital strategy. Her efforts focused on digital innovation, IT modernization, and technology-driven business transformation.
Annapurna’s contributions to artificial intelligence and digital transformation have been widely recognized. In 2021, she was named among the leading ‘Women in AI’ globally by IBM. Her extensive expertise in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and large-scale IT implementations makes her a strategic asset for Airbus as it continues to enhance its digital ecosystem.
With her appointment, Airbus aims to leverage cutting-edge digital technologies to drive innovation, optimize operations, and strengthen its presence in India and South Asia.
