New Delhi: With the appointment of Jyoti Mahendru as chief talent officer and national communication officer and Kamal Basu as executive director and chief growth officer, McCann Worldgroup (MWG) India today announced a thorough reorganization of its leadership team.

Basu spent ten years in the automotive sector, leading marketing at Skoda and Volkswagen, where he introduced well-known brands like Octavia, Rapid, Beetle, and Tiguan, before returning to the advertising business at McCann.

Mahendru, an HR leader with more than 25 years of experience, joins MWG India. She has experience creating comprehensive HR frameworks for big businesses, with a focus on organizational change, coaching and mentoring, talent management and engagement, and culture management. She holds an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad.

Prior to joining McCann Worldgroup, Mahendru was at VML India, where she led the integration of people, culture, and structure across numerous agencies during their merger to form VML and played a critical role in stabilizing teams.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be back at McCann to work with a stalwart like Prasoon – it truly feels like coming home. I look forward to contributing meaningfully and making a real difference,” said Mahendru.

In her new position, Mahendru’s strategic priorities will be recruiting top talent, building agile and high-performing teams in a rapidly changing business environment, putting people-centric policies into place, and valuing diversity, inclusiveness, and employee well-being.

“The new structure of MWG India’s McCann in India will enable the company’s best people to provide focused and dedicated partnership to clients,” said Prasoon Joshi, Chairman McCann Asia Pacific and CEO & CCO McCann Worldgroup India.

“This will help bring disruptive creativity, agility, and fluidity to the table, which are crucial for transforming clients’ businesses and creating iconic brands in the current business landscape. By leveraging the expertise and creativity of its best employees, MWG India can provide its clients with the guidance and support they need to succeed in today’s highly competitive market,” he stated.
