Mumbai: Axis Bank has announced the appointment of Shifali Jain as Executive Vice President – PSU Central & State Government and Foreign Mission Banking.
With over 26 years of extensive banking experience, Jain brings deep expertise in managing large-scale government relationships and delivering strategic financial solutions. In her new role, she will oversee and expand Axis Bank’s portfolio with central and state government institutions, public sector undertakings, and foreign mission projects operating in India.
Prior to this, she served as Senior Vice President-II & Group Head – PSU and Foreign Mission Banking at Axis Bank for six years, following a two-decade-long tenure at HDFC Bank in its Government Business Group. Her leadership has been instrumental in launching innovative digital solutions for government services, including online GST payments, MCA ROC fee collections, GeM integrations, and the Just-in-Time (JIT) payment setup with PFMS, significantly enhancing efficiency and transparency in government transactions.
An alumna of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Jain is also an active member of Axis Bank’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) and Wellness Council, advocating for an inclusive culture and employee well-being.
