New Delhi: Check Point Software Technologies has launched a new line of Smart-1 Management Appliances designed to support large-scale, hybrid IT environments with AI-enabled threat detection and policy management tools.
The seventh-generation Quantum Smart-1 appliances aim to address the operational challenges faced by security teams as enterprises increasingly adopt hybrid infrastructures. According to Check Point, these appliances double the number of manageable gateways and deliver up to 70% faster log processing, enabling quicker response to threats.
Addresses the Growing Complexity of Enterprise Security
With remote work and cloud adoption expanding attack surfaces, security management has grown more complex. Check Point cites its AI Security Report, which notes that more than half of enterprise networks use AI services monthly, a trend that introduces new vulnerabilities and calls for more responsive, data-driven management tools.
The new Smart-1 devices are integrated with the Check Point Infinity Platform and are designed to operate across cloud, on-premises, and remote environments. This setup supports unified threat detection and response while maintaining compliance with regulatory demands, the company said.
Key Features Focused on Operational Efficiency
- The latest appliances include the following capabilities:
- Gateway Management at Scale: Supports up to 10,000 gateways, reducing the need for rearchitecting existing infrastructure.
- Faster Log Processing: Up to 70% higher log throughput, intended to cut down response time to threats.
- Regulatory Support: Up to 70TB of local storage for long-term log retention.
- Third-Party Integration: Compatibility with over 250 tools from other providers to simplify operations.
