New Delhi: GIFT City and ANSR have signed an MoU to jointly support the growth of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India’s emerging financial and technology hub.
The collaboration aims to position GIFT City as a preferred location for global enterprises building advanced capability centres. Officials from both organisations said the partnership will focus on attracting firms looking to expand engineering, technology, and digital operations in India, an area where GCC activity has accelerated over the past few years.
ANSR, which has worked with more than 175 GCCs globally, will provide advisory support, talent insights, and operational expertise to companies evaluating GIFT City as a base for global functions. GIFTCL will contribute infrastructure, regulatory facilitation, and access to its integrated financial and technology ecosystem. Together, the two organisations plan to engage in joint outreach, ecosystem development, and research-led initiatives to map GCC demand and highlight emerging opportunities.
Executives said the MoU reflects increasing interest from multinational corporations seeking diversified operational hubs with strong regulatory clarity and skilled talent availability. Industry data indicates that India continues to lead GCC expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, with GIFT City emerging as a strategic location due to its financial services framework, special economic zone structure, and access to a growing technology workforce.
Sanjay Kaul, Managing Director and Group CEO of GIFT City, said the partnership aligns with the city’s efforts to support companies setting up global functions in India. ANSR Founder and CEO Lalit Ahuja noted that the collaboration builds on the firm’s experience in helping enterprises establish long-term capability models.
The partnership signals a broader shift towards creating structured ecosystems for enterprise operations in India. As demand for specialised technology and innovation hubs increases, GIFT City is seeking to position itself as an alternative destination for companies looking beyond traditional metro-based centres.
