Honeywell Launches AI-Powered Smart Shopping Platform with Google Cloud

Honeywell has unveiled an AI-enabled Smart Shopping Platform built with Google Cloud’s Gemini and Vertex AI to enhance in-store retail experiences, offering personalised guidance, product discovery and real-time recommendations.

New Delhi: Honeywell on 13 January announced the launch of an AI-enabled retail solution designed to enhance in-store shopping experiences, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and systems integrator 66degrees.

The new Smart Shopping Platform uses Google’s Gemini models and the Vertex AI platform to help shoppers quickly locate products, compare similar items and find suitable substitutes when items are out of stock.

Built on Honeywell’s Mobility Edge hardware and software platform, the cloud-based solution connects retailers’ digital data with the physical store environment, offering real-time product information, personalised recommendations and guided navigation similar to online shopping.

Shoppers can link loyalty accounts on Honeywell Android devices, such as the CS32 Personal Shopper, to receive customised suggestions based on purchase history and ongoing promotions.

The platform also supports store associates by enabling faster, more accurate cu stomer assistance through devices like the Honeywell CT70.

Honeywell said the solution will be available to customers globally starting February 2026.
