India’s GCC Boom Pushes Offshore Tech Revenue To $98.4 Billion In FY26, Hits 2030 Target Early

New Delhi: India’s offshore tech hubs have reached $98.4 billion in revenue in FY26.

GCC Growth India
A joint report by Nasscom and Zinnov shows that Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India are approaching revenue levels earlier projected for 2030. The shift reflects how global companies are restructuring operations to manage costs and geopolitical risks.

Shift To High-Value Work
Companies such as JPMorgan Chase, McDonald’s and Nvidia are expanding their India-based GCCs beyond back-office roles. These centres now handle core functions including finance, software engineering and research and development.

AI Workforce Driving Expansion
India added or expanded over 100 GCCs in FY26, with firms like Anthropic, Eli Lilly and FedEx increasing their presence. The report attributes this to India’s AI-ready talent pool, faster scaling capabilities and supportive policy environment.

India IT Sector Outlook
The country is now home to 2,117 GCCs employing around 2.36 million people, close to earlier 2030 estimates. North American companies continue to lead expansion, accounting for nearly two-thirds of new setups. Rising visa costs in the US and inflation linked to global conflicts are also pushing firms to relocate strategic and AI-led work to India.
