Pune: Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd. (TACO) has appointed Vinod Bhat as Chief Digital Officer (CDO). With more than three decades of experience in digital transformation and operational excellence, Bhat will lead TACO’s efforts in leveraging advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, RFID, and plant automation to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and digital ecosystem.
Bhat’s professional journey includes key leadership roles such as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Enterprise Architect at Vistara – TATA SIA Airlines Ltd. At Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), he served as Global Business Head and Delivery Center Head, driving significant initiatives in strategy, innovation, and technology management. His contributions have earned him prestigious awards, including the CIO100 Awards and the DataQuest Digital Leadership Award.
At TACO, Bhat’s role will focus on driving innovation through Tata Data Maturity, strengthening cybersecurity, and developing use cases across B2B, B2C, and B2E domains. This appointment highlights TACO’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements within the automotive components industry.
Bhat expressed enthusiasm about this opportunity, emphasizing his vision to align digital strategies with TACO’s business goals and elevate its operational excellence. Bhat holds a Master of Technology in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Hyderabad. Additionally, he has also done a Master of Science in Electronics from the University of Kashmir.
