Localized Content and AI Features
To cater to Indian users, Canva is introducing templates and design elements focused on local needs. These include WhatsApp templates, culturally relevant graphics for festivals and business use, and a localized homepage in regional languages. Additionally, the company will highlight trending templates for Indian seasonal events like Republic Day, Lohri, and wedding celebrations.
AI remains central to Canva’s growth strategy in India. The company’s 2024 CIO Survey found that:

The demand for digital portfolios is also increasing. About 83% of hiring managers in India prefer candidates with interactive digital portfolios, while 87% of job seekers have used generative AI for resume building.
Education Partnerships and Accessibility
Canva’s free design tools for K-12 students and teachers are gaining traction. The company plans to expand its partnerships with state education departments to integrate visual design tools into classrooms.
To improve accessibility, Canva is launching a Hindi-language version of its platform. Developed by local experts, this initiative aims to support Hindi-speaking users, including educators and businesses. Additionally, the company has introduced flexible pricing plans, offering one-day and seven-day subscription options.
