Bengaluru: Saviynt, a cloud-native identity governance solutions provider, has announced the appointment of Nitin Varma as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for India and SAARC. In this role, Varma will lead Saviynt’s new customer acquisition efforts and enhance technical and consulting partnerships. In addition, he is expected to position the company as a trusted identity security solutions provider in the region. His role will be instrumental in scaling the business, fostering partnerships, and elevating Saviynt’s market presence.
Paul Zolfaghari, President at Saviynt, highlighted Varma’s extensive experience, stating that he brings expertise in sales, operations, and strategy within the identity, security, and infrastructure sectors. He emphasized that the company has significant growth opportunities in South Asia and expressed confidence that Varma is the ideal choice to drive business expansion in the region.
With over two decades of leadership in cybersecurity and technology, Varma has previously held key roles at CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco. In his most recent position as Managing Director at CrowdStrike, he was responsible for building and scaling the company’s market presence across India and SAARC.
Expressing enthusiasm about his new role, Varma stated that Saviynt has immense potential to expand its market share and strengthen its reputation in South Asia. He noted that India is the second-most targeted nation for cyberattacks, with a vast majority being identity-related. He emphasized his commitment to building a high-impact team, fostering ecosystem partnerships, and educating businesses on how Saviynt’s cloud-based platform provides a reliable approach to solving identity security challenges.
