Bengaluru: MongoDB has announced the appointment of Aamir Sait as Area Vice President for India, underscoring its commitment to the country’s fast-growing digital economy.
Welcoming the appointment, Sachin Chawla, VP for India & ASEAN at MongoDB, said Aamir’s proven leadership and deep market expertise would play a key role in driving customer success at scale.
Aamir brings over 25 years of experience across Dell, EMC, RSA, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and as co-founder of a cybersecurity-focused agentic AI startup. His expertise spans cloud, AI, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and enterprise transformation—critical areas for India’s digital growth.
At AWS, where he spent 12 years, Aamir held several senior leadership roles, including Head of Conglomerates & Strategic Industries for India/South Asia. As part of AWS India’s leadership team, he led go-to-market strategy and execution across sales, channels, marketing, and specialist teams. He successfully managed businesses with $300M+ ARR and teams of over 100 members. He was instrumental in driving AWS’s entry into multiple industry verticals, creating the GTM playbook, scaling businesses, and consistently exceeding revenue goals.
Before AWS, Aamir led the RSA cybersecurity business for enterprise accounts in India, where he drove adoption of advanced security operations solutions. Earlier, he worked at Dell India in the enterprise business management vertical.
With this appointment, MongoDB aims to deepen its partnerships with enterprises, ISVs, and digital-native businesses across India, helping them accelerate innovation and scale globally.
