New Delhi: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has partnered with technology services firm Kyndryl to revamp its IT infrastructure and operations across global facilities, including manufacturing units, data centers, international offices and cloud networks.
The initiative will rely on Kyndryl Bridge, an AI-powered integration platform, to streamline IT operations and introduce predictive monitoring capabilities. The focus is on minimizing human intervention by automating fault detection, system recovery, and compliance processes.
Focus on Automation and Predictive IT Management
According to Kyndryl, the partnership seeks to implement a Zero Touch IT Operations model for both corporate and manufacturing functions at Dr Reddy’s. This includes deploying a dual-model IT Ops framework designed to detect and fix the root causes of IT issues rather than relying on reactive solutions.
Through this framework, Dr Reddy’s aims to cut manual IT interventions by about 60 per cent. The company will also integrate a unified dashboard to track service performance, compliance status, and risk controls in real time.
Strategic Shift in Pharma IT Governance
This collaboration indicates a broader trend in the pharmaceutical sector, where firms are increasingly turning to intelligent automation to manage complex IT environments. For companies like Dr Reddy’s, where regulatory compliance and data security are mission-critical, predictive analytics and automation tools offer a way to modernize infrastructure without compromising oversight.
Kyndryl’s role will be to provide the technical backbone for this transition, offering tools for self-healing systems, automated risk mitigation, and improved governance protocols.
