Bengaluru: In a major boost to Karnataka’s digital infrastructure, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has officially launched its 5G services in the state, with critical support from Walgo Infra, a network infrastructure provider firm. The launch event was held at Vodafone’s Corporate Office in Bangalore, marking a significant leap in the state’s digital journey.
Setting New Standards for Digital Growth
The introduction of Vodafone Idea’s 5G services in Karnataka aims to solidify Bengaluru’s position as the digital capital of India. Walgo Infra’s impact extends beyond metro areas, reaching regions with sparse populations and limited commercial viability. By providing dependable infrastructure in these low-revenue areas, Walgo Infra aims to ensure that students, farmers, travelers, and entrepreneurs alike benefit from continuous digital access.
Future Plans: Air Fibre, Satellites, and AI
Looking ahead, Walgo Infra plans to introduce Air Fibre services, partner with satellite internet providers, and explore AI-driven infrastructure management. These innovations are expected to enhance efficiency and security and bring next-gen connectivity to the remotest parts of the country.
“Through this partnership, we are laying the foundation for innovation in healthcare, education, and governance by driving high-impact connectivity that fuels holistic development. We are proud to lead this transformation in Karnataka and beyond,” said Sridhar Rao, CEO & MD of Walgo Infra, at the launch event.
