New Delhi: HCLTech and AMD have announced an expanded strategic partnership aimed at jointly developing enterprise-focused digital solutions across artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and advanced analytics. The initiative will include the creation of development centres and workforce training programs as both firms seek to address growing demand for scalable, future-ready IT solutions.
Focus on Applied Innovation, Not Just Infrastructure
Under the collaboration, HCLTech will integrate AMD’s high-performance computing technologies such as EPYC, Instinct, and Ryzen PRO processors into enterprise solutions tailored for specific industry needs. These solutions will be tested and refined through dedicated joint development centres set up to conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) testing and speed up time-to-market.
The companies also plan to co-invest in innovation labs and training initiatives designed to help enterprises build internal capabilities in AI and cloud systems. The aim is to support businesses as they modernize their operations and adapt to rapidly evolving digital demands.
Skills Development to Address Enterprise Readiness
As part of the agreement, workforce reskilling is a key focus. By developing training programs aligned with the new digital tools being introduced, HCLTech and AMD aim to ensure that enterprises not only have access to new technologies but also the skills to implement and manage them effectively.
The partnership comes at a time when businesses across sectors are increasing investment in AI and cloud services amid broader digital transformation efforts. By combining a tech OEM’s semiconductor innovation with a systems integrator’s domain expertise, the alliance reflects a growing trend of cross-domain partnerships designed to bridge capability gaps in enterprise IT.
