P&G Names Shailesh Jejurikar as Next CEO, Effective January 2026

New Delhi: Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced that Shailesh Jejurikar will take over as President and Chief Executive Officer, starting January 2026. The decision comes as part of a planned leadership transition, with current CEO Jon Moeller moving into the role of Executive Chairman of the Board.

Jejurikar, currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer, has been with P&G for over three decades. His appointment aligns with P&G’s long-standing tradition of promoting from within. He has served on the global leadership team since 2014 and has led both regional and global business operations, particularly in Fabric and Home Care.

The company’s board said it sees the transition as a way to maintain continuity while advancing long-term priorities. Board Chair Joe Jimenez noted that Jejurikar’s appointment is part of a broader strategy to keep operational momentum and strategic consistency intact.

While no immediate strategic shifts were announced, Jejurikar’s experience in operations and consumer categories signals a likely continuation of the company’s current direction. As COO, he has overseen global operations, supply chain efforts, and business transformations, areas expected to remain central during his leadership.

The transition will officially take effect in January 2026, allowing for over a year of overlap between Jejurikar and Moeller to support a smooth handover.
