Mumbai: Asian Energy Services Limited (AESL), a leading service provider to the energy and mining sectors, has secured a major contract from Vedanta Limited.
The Rs 865 crore deal covers integrated services for upstream oil and gas operations and will be executed over 57 months.
Under the agreement, AESL will handle field development planning, deployment of skilled manpower, 24/7 operations support, and predictive maintenance for upstream facilities. The company will also be responsible for maintaining production uptime, meeting regulatory requirements, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency.
The project will create both direct and indirect employment, especially in Rajasthan, where Vedanta has significant operations. Jobs will span site operations, logistics, and project management, and the project is also expected to benefit the local economies in other states connected to the contract.
Dr. Kapil Garg, Managing Director of AESL, said, “We are honoured to receive Integrated Service Contract for field development and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract from Vedanta, one of our most valued and long-standing clients. This repeat engagement reflects the trust we’ve built through dependable service and a strong focus on operational excellence. Integrated O&M remains a core area of focus at Asian Energy Services and a key growth driver. Our ability to manage critical infrastructure safely and efficiently continues to make us a preferred partner in the energy sector. This mandate reaffirms confidence in our team’s capability to consistently deliver in complex and challenging environments.”
The contract reflects the growing trend in India’s oil and gas sector towards improving production efficiency, optimising brownfield assets, and managing fields through integrated services. With the government pushing to cut crude oil imports by 10 percent and boost domestic production, private companies like Vedanta are deepening collaborations with experienced service providers like AESL.
