Gautam Adani Exits Adani Ports’ Key Management Role and Adorns New Hat

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) has announced that Gautam Adani has resigned as the company's Executive Chairman.

Mumbai: The board of directors of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on 5 August announced in an exchange filing that Gautam Adani, the company’s Executive Chairman, had resigned from his important managerial position.

With effect from today, 5 August, Gautam Adani, the founder and chairman of the Adani Group of Companies, will serve as the non-executive chairman of the country’s largest port operating company.

“Re-designation of Mr. Gautam S. Adani from Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 5 August 2025 and consequently, he would cease to be key managerial personnel of the Company,” the company informed BSE through the filing.
