Chennai: Digital Connexion has announced that its MAA10 facility in Ambattur, Chennai, has been recognised as part of the Nvidia DGX-Ready Data Centre program, marking a significant development in India’s AI data infrastructure landscape.
The facility, purpose-built to support high-performance computing and GPU-intensive workloads, features advanced air and liquid cooling systems designed to manage the thermal demands of next-generation servers. Built to international specifications, it adheres to ASHRAE W2 guidelines to ensure efficient and reliable cooling under high-heat conditions.
To maintain uptime for AI-driven enterprises, MAA10 is equipped with an N+2C power system, providing additional redundancy for continuous operations. The data centre has also been integrated into PlatformDIGITAL, a global network of AI-optimised data centres operated by Digital Realty.
Digital Connexion is a joint venture between Brookfield Asset Management, Reliance Industries, and Digital Realty. Commenting on the development, CEO C R Srinivasan highlighted the growing data demands driven by AI adoption across industries and the need for scalable, robust infrastructure to support this growth.
The expansion comes at a time when Indian metros, including Delhi and Chennai, are expected to witness exponential data generation, with estimates suggesting over 12,000 exabytes of data could be produced by 2025.
This latest development positions Chennai as a critical node in the evolving AI data infrastructure ecosystem, offering capabilities to meet the rising computational needs of enterprises and research institutions alike.
