Jindal Power Names Veerendra Vainsla as New HR Head

New Delhi: Jindal Power has appointed Veerendra Vainsla as its new Head of Human Resources, placing him at the centre of the company’s workforce strategy as it expands operations in Gandhidham, Gujarat. The appointment reflects the company’s focus on strengthening its human capital at a time when the power sector is navigating both energy transition pressures and workforce transformation.

Vainsla brings nearly two decades of experience in human resource management, having worked across multiple industries including automotive, manufacturing, and energy. Before joining Jindal Power, he served as Assistant General Manager – HR and HR Head at MAT Holdings. His career spans roles at Varel Energy Solutions, Sabohema Automotive, Tube Investments of India, and LPS Group, where he focused on areas such as talent management, labour relations, organisational development, and employee engagement.

With India’s power sector undergoing significant shifts, from renewable energy integration to evolving regulatory frameworks, the role of HR leadership in managing workforce adaptability and skills development has become increasingly critical. Industry observers note that companies like Jindal Power are rethinking their HR strategies to address talent shortages, compliance needs, and the demand for digital skill sets in traditional energy businesses.

Vainsla holds an MBA in Human Resources Development from JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and an LLB from Jaipur School of Law, equipping him with a mix of business and legal perspectives that could support Jindal Power’s evolving workforce requirements. His appointment indicates the company’s intent to align its human resources policies with both industry demands and organisational growth objectives.
