IBM Launches Sangam Infrastructure Innovation Centre in India to Accelerate AI Infrastructure Development

IBM has launched the Sangam Infrastructure Innovation Centre at its India Systems Development Lab to accelerate AI infrastructure development and enterprise innovation for India and global markets.

Bengaluru: IBM has launched its first Infrastructure Innovation Centre, named the Sangam Infrastructure Innovation Centre, at its new IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) campus in Bengaluru, aiming to accelerate AI infrastructure development for India and global markets.

The centre has been designed as a collaborative engineering hub where IBM’s systems architects and infrastructure specialists will work with clients, independent software vendors, global system integrators, global capability centres and other ecosystem partners to co-develop enterprise AI solutions.

According to the company, the facility will combine advanced infrastructure technologies, hybrid cloud platforms and AI capabilities under one roof to support the creation of secure, scalable and responsible AI systems. The initiative is intended to help enterprises modernise their technology environments and deploy AI at scale.

Sandip Patel, Managing Director of IBM India and South Asia, said India is at a crucial stage in its AI journey, where robust infrastructure will determine how quickly organisations can innovate and adopt new technologies. He added that the centre reflects IBM’s long-term commitment to strengthening infrastructure capabilities in India.

The launch also aligns with findings from the IBM Institute for Business Value, which reported growing infrastructure investments among Indian enterprises as demand for AI-driven systems continues to rise.
