New Delhi, May 11(CXO Media): Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 update, and several Galaxy smartphone users may receive the software upgrade this month.
The rollout began in South Korea on May 6 and is expected to expand to more regions in phases. For users searching whether their Samsung smartphone is eligible, the company has confirmed an initial list of Galaxy devices that will receive the One UI 8.5 update.
The update covers Samsung’s premium smartphones, foldables and tablets, including the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 lineup, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy Tab S11 series. The Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S24 FE are also part of the rollout plan.
The latest Samsung software update focuses on Galaxy AI features, smoother animations and improvements to productivity and communication tools. Samsung has also updated Bixby and expanded ecosystem features for supported Galaxy devices, though features may vary by market and smartphone model.
Users can check whether the update has arrived on their device by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Since the rollout is happening in stages, some Galaxy users may receive One UI 8.5 earlier than others.
The update follows Samsung’s beta testing phase and marks the company’s latest push to expand Galaxy AI tools across flagship smartphones.
