New Delhi, May 12(CXO Media): Customer engagement platform Exotel has appointed Rajat Setia as Senior Director of Marketing as the company looks to strengthen its brand and growth strategy in a competitive cloud communications market.
Setia joins Exotel from PeopleStrong, where she spent nearly seven years in marketing leadership roles, most recently serving as AVP Marketing. Her appointment comes at a time when customer engagement and AI-powered communication tools are becoming key focus areas for SaaS companies in India and international markets.
At PeopleStrong, Setia led marketing initiatives across Southeast Asia and ANZ markets and worked on product-led campaigns, including the rollout of mobile-first experiences and generative AI-led features. Her experience in demand generation, brand positioning and go-to-market execution is expected to support Exotel’s efforts to expand adoption of its integrated cloud communication and customer engagement solutions.
Before PeopleStrong, Setia worked with Solomo Media, handling digital campaigns and cross-functional brand mandates. Exotel’s decision to bring in a senior marketing leader reflects a wider trend among SaaS and cloud communication firms investing in leadership teams to drive customer acquisition, AI-led engagement and international growth.
This appointment also signals Exotel’s push to sharpen its positioning in India’s growing customer engagement software market, where companies are increasingly competing on automation, conversational AI and omnichannel communication capabilities.
