Bengaluru: Process intelligence firm Celonis has appointed Dilipkumar Khandelwal, a former senior executive at SAP and Deutsche Bank, as Chief Customer Officer and Chairman of its India Advisory Board. The appointment comes at a time when the company is intensifying its focus on driving customer value from AI deployments and expanding its footprint in India.
Khandelwal’s new role is expected to shape Celonis’s global customer success strategy, particularly as businesses increasingly seek tangible returns from AI and process optimization tools. With extensive experience in enterprise software and financial services, Khandelwal is being brought in to help enterprises align AI implementation with measurable business outcomes.
“Enterprises today are not just adopting AI, they are under pressure to show clear results,” said Carsten Thoma, President and Board Director at Celonis. He added that Khandelwal’s track record in managing large teams and delivering operational turnarounds made him a suitable choice to lead customer-facing initiatives.
Khandelwal will also chair Celonis’s India Advisory Board, overseeing the company’s expansion efforts in the region. India is a key talent and innovation market for the firm, which recently launched the Celonis Garage, an innovation hub in Bengaluru aimed at accelerating product development and regional collaboration.
His appointment signals Celonis’s ongoing investment in India not just as an operational center but as a strategic contributor to its global growth plans. The company has indicated plans to scale its presence in India, both in terms of workforce and technological output. Before joining Celonis, Khandelwal led cloud transformation initiatives at SAP and held senior technology roles at Deutsche Bank. He is also known for his involvement in the startup ecosystem as an angel investor and advisor to venture funds.
