New Delhi: With effect from 5 May, Shamita Mukherjee has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Firstsource Solutions Limited.
She will lead people enablement programs as CHRO, which are intended to assist the company’s growth ambitions and evolving business needs.
In her new position, Mukherjee will be in charge of creating and implementing strategic HR initiatives that support Firstsource’s UnBPOTM vision, which is a unique take on the future of work that strikes a balance between automation, digital transformation and the potential of people.
Strengthening talent development, improving employee engagement, and integrating a future-ready skills framework throughout the organisation are all part of her responsibility.
As Firstsource advances its people-first transformation path, Managing Director and CEO Ritesh Idnani said he has faith in Mukherjee’s leadership.
“Firstsource is at a pivotal point in its trajectory, and people enablement is a key lever that will help propel us forward into the future we want to build. I am delighted to welcome Shamita on this transformational journey with her robust experience in people management,” Idnani said. He added:

With more than 30 years of human resources expertise, Mukherjee was Global CHRO for Infosys BPM before joining Firstsource, where she played a key role in creating and executing progressive HR policies for a worldwide workforce.
Commenting on her new role, Mukherjee said: “I am very excited to join Firstsource at this juncture when the industry needs to radically transform itself, especially in its people structures and practices. With its UnBPOTM strategy gaining traction, I’m enthused to define and lead people practices that complement this transformation.”
