Futurex, Verifone Tie Up to Enable Remote PCI-compliant Key Injection

Easebuzz Partners with Indian Army’s Bombay Sappers to Support Education of Veer Naris’ Children

New Delhi: Futurex has expanded its partnership with payments technology firm Verifone to support remote, PCI PIN 32-9–compliant key injection for Verifone devices through its CryptoHub platform. The development is positioned to address compliance challenges in the payments industry, where secure key management remains critical for data protection.

The integration allows cryptographic keys to be managed and injected into Verifone devices at scale, using Verifone’s VRK key blocks. Unlike traditional manual injection methods, the remote approach aims to reduce field service costs and operational complexities. Futurex also becomes the first cloud-native platform certified to carry out VRK-based key injection on Verifone terminals, reflecting a broader industry trend of shifting cryptographic operations to cloud environments.

According to the companies, the arrangement offers centralized management of key generation, storage, and deployment, alongside automated compliance enforcement aligned with PCI PIN standards. This is expected to simplify operations for merchants and financial institutions, particularly those managing distributed payment infrastructures across geographies.

Industry analysts note that compliance with PCI PIN 32-9 is gaining urgency as global regulatory and data security expectations tighten. For merchants, the partnership highlights how payments technology providers are adjusting to reduce both risk and cost while ensuring regulatory adherence.

Executives from both Futurex and Verifone emphasized that the collaboration is intended to streamline secure deployments for customers while maintaining rigorous compliance. The move underlines the increasing role of cryptography-as-a-service in payments security, as companies seek scalable alternatives to manual, on-premises methods. By bringing PCI PIN-compliant remote key injection to Verifone devices, the partnership reflects ongoing shifts in payment security infrastructure toward automation, cloud delivery, and compliance-first models.
