Bengaluru: Cisco has announced a major advancement to its Security Cloud Control platform.
The company has introduced foundational multi-customer management capabilities to help Managed Service Providers (MSPs) deliver advanced security services more efficiently and profitably.
The enhanced platform uses AI-powered automation through AIOps and AgenticOps, enabling centralized control across Cisco’s comprehensive security portfolio, including the Hybrid Mesh Firewall with AI Defense and Secure Access, its Security Service Edge (SSE) offering. This upgrade marks a key step in Cisco’s effort to help MSPs overcome operational fragmentation, reduce costs, and drive sustainable growth.
Strengthening Security with Hybrid Mesh Firewall
Cisco’s Hybrid Mesh Firewall is designed to deliver distributed, zero-trust security across data centers, clouds, and edge sites. The firewall uses network and workload identities to create micro-perimeters for precise segmentation and AI-driven threat protection at the application edge.
This hyper-distributed approach allows organizations to apply consistent policies across environments, enforced through Cisco firewalls, Smart Switches, workload agents using eBPF, and even third-party firewalls—all managed centrally by Security Cloud Control. Telemetry data from these systems integrates with Splunk for enhanced visibility.
The platform now supports multi-customer management for Hybrid Mesh Firewall, allowing MSPs to efficiently deliver scalable, enterprise-grade security solutions to multiple clients from one console.
Advanced Firewall Portfolio for AI-Ready Environments
Cisco has also expanded its firewall lineup with the Secure Firewall 200 Series and 6100 Series. The 200 Series combines on-box threat inspection and integrated SD-WAN for distributed branches, offering up to three times better price-performance. The 6100 Series is built for AI-ready data centers, providing exceptional performance density.
Empowering MSPs Through Security Cloud Control
The following new features have been developed to simplify MSP operations and boost profitability:
- Centralized Oversight and Management: A unified ‘Manager View’ simplifies monitoring across all customer environments.
- Multi-Org Management: Streamlined onboarding and configuration with built-in safeguards and role clarity.
- Granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Ensures secure, limited access for engineers and support teams.
- Simplified Licensing and Management: Supports flexible licensing models, including MSEA and MSLA, for easier tracking and scalability.
- Platform API: Provides a standardized interface for automation and faster customer onboarding.
