New Delhi: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has appointed Milind Pande as Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, marking a key leadership change at a time when cloud and AI adoption are expanding across the region. Pande, who has been with AWS for six years, will be responsible for marketing strategies covering brand positioning, demand generation, thought leadership, and go-to-market initiatives. His role will involve engaging with a wide customer base, from emerging startups to large enterprises at different stages of cloud adoption.
Prior to this appointment, Pande led marketing for the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customer segment in India and served as Chief of Staff to the AWS India President, contributing to growth programs across sales and marketing. His career spans more than 16 years across technology, media, and telecom sectors. At Vodafone India, he managed technology security and enterprise risk management, while at Viacom18, he worked on corporate strategy and investor relations. These roles provided him with diverse experience in industries that are central to digital transformation and cloud deployment.
An MBA graduate in Strategy and Marketing from the Indian School of Business, Pande brings a mix of strategic and operational expertise to his new position. His appointment reflects AWS’s continued focus on strengthening its presence in India and South Asia as businesses accelerate their shift to digital platforms. The move highlights the growing importance of regional leadership in supporting the company’s mission to expand cloud adoption and enable enterprises to modernize operations.
